Hi guys, Welcome to the website of the Durham Capoeira Society. We have classes twice a week run by Proffesor Bocao, an instructor from Filhos De Bimba. If you aren't sure what capoeira is then there is lots of info under 'About Capoeira', but at its simplest it is a mix of martial arts, gymnastics and dancing with Brazilian music and culture as well. But it is so much more than this so please take a look at the link. On this site you can find out who we are, what we do and how to join us. The club is only a year old but we have a wide range of experiences, so if you have never ducked into a Negativa or can happily pull off a Queda de Rins you will fit right in.
